Description / Requirements


Our client is a dynamic company operating in the beverages production industry in Northern Greece.

The primary responsibility of the position holder will be to ensure that products maintain a high level of quality, as well as to establish quality management systems which cover brewing, cellaring and packaging of the products.

 

The right incumbent’s role and responsibilities will be the following:

  • Applies food quality standards Good Manufacturing and Distribution Practices (GMP,GDP) in the brewery.

  • Designs systematic approaches for quality improvements

  • Organizes and performs analysis of products, selects the tests to be performed and tracks results.

  • Organizes various sensory trials of products.

  • Creates and updates quality control guidelines and processes.

  • Uses metrics to ensure that the food processes and source materials used comply with food safety regulations.

  • Manages the quality assurance department’s budget

  • Communicates with third parties including lab equipment providers and consumables

  • Meets with department heads and external suppliers to discuss quality issues and potential improvements on a regular basis.

  • Monitors and records Key Performance Indicators relating to quality control and reports to the upper management. Produces reports and makes recommendations to the brewers and management team for quality improvement.

  • Assesses product quality complaints. 

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.

  • Working experience in a similar position in the Brewing Industry or other knowledge in Brewing Technology.

  • 5-year experience in quality control with track record of people management.

  • Knowledge of food production and manufacturing principles.

  • Very strong written and verbal communication.

  • High level computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and drive to achieve continuous improvement.

  • Excellent team player.

  • Ability to coach and influence others to achieve specific results.

  • Ability to work to deadlines and to prioritize workload.
