LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

Science and Mathematics

(Maternity Cover from 1st January 2021 until 30th June 2021)

 

St. Catherine’s is a leading independent British international school that teaches 1250 pupils from 3 to 18 years of age. The school is a member of HMC, COBIS and is an IBO world school. It teaches the EYFS curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales, as well as IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Candidate Profile


We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support teaching and learning in the Upper School. The successful applicant must be willing to work hard and take initiative, be flexible, able to work in a team, be energetic, reliable and positive. The appointed candidate will work alongside subject specialist teachers as part of our Upper School Learning Support Team. Any of the following would be advantageous although not essential:

  • Evidence of appropriate academic qualifications/training indicating an ability to support science and mathematics learning in the 11-18 age range.

  • Experience of working with young people with learning differences

     

  • Experience of working with young people for whom English is not their first language
