Description / Requirements

We are looking for an Internal Auditor with analytical and critical thinking and strong communication skills to join our team. We want a reliable and confident professional with problem solving ability primarily responsible for executing the internal audits in line with the annual audit plan and for assisting in the audit planning.

Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Assist in scoping the audits and developing the audit procedures in line with the audit objectives
  • Execute the audits and prepare comprehensive workpaper documentation
  • Document and assess the audit findings and recommend value adding corrective actions
  • Prepare written communications, including audit findings and recommendations in a concise and professional manner
  • Monitor the follow up actions on audit findings
  • Assist ιn the annual risk assessment and annual audit plan preparation
  • Identify weaknesses and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
  • Maintain open communication with management and audit committee
  • Continually develop audit skills through formal and informal training and appropriate professional certification
  • Keep abreast of issues in a variety of areas including, accounting and financial, insurance industry, legal and regulatory, information technology, communication, safety, human resources and other areas associated with company functions

Candidate profile

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, IS or other Business related field. Master degree is desirable but not mandatory
  • Minimum 4 years of internal audit experience, ideally in the Insurance Industry
  • Familiarity with auditing and accounting standards (i.e., IIA Standards, IFRS, GAAP)
  • Strong understanding of auditing and risk evaluation
  • Strong understanding of IS risks and controls
  • Professional qualification will be considered as an advantage/asset (CIA/CISA/CPA/ ACA/ACCA)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent English is essential
